is one of the few bands in the country
dedicated to preserving authentic music from the golden age of the
American Circus. They have performed numerous times with the Big Apple Circus both in New York City at the world famous Lincoln
Center and Boston. They have also played for Sells and Gray Circus,
Clyde Beatty, Ed Migleys Shrine, Hanneford and Carson and Barnes Circus.
The South Shore Circus Concert Band was selected to perform in
person and provide live background music for the nationally
televisedGREAT CIRCUS PARADE from Milwaukee.
--Alan Slifka, chairman of the board of the Big Apple Circus ,
on a recent trip to Russia hand presented a copy of the
SOUTH SHORE CIRCUS CONCERT BAND's recording
"SOUNDS OF THE CIRCUS" to the Minister of Culture in Moscow as a prime example of
music from the Golden Age of the American Circus.
The recordings were also presented in person to the School
of the Circus in Kiev and Leningrad where they are being
studied by Russian students of the circus.
Recordings of this band are available to the public on cassette

Here is pure unadulterated music from
the circus ring performed by twenty-five enthusiastic
musicians. Minor inaccuracies have purposely not been
corrected or edited from the original recording to give
you all the spontaneity of a live performance.
