

The South Shore Circus Concert Band was selected to perform in person and provide live background music for the nationally televised GREAT CIRCUS PARADE from Milwaukee.
--Alan Slifka, chairman of the board of the Big Apple Circus , on a recent trip to Russia hand presented a copy of the SOUTH SHORE CIRCUS CONCERT BAND's recording "SOUNDS OF THE CIRCUS" to the Minister of Culture in Moscow as a prime example of music from the Golden Age of the American Circus.
The recordings were also presented in person to the School of the Circus in Kiev and Leningrad where they are being studied by Russian students of the circus.
Recordings of this band are available to the public on cassette and compact disc. A series of twenty-nine volumes entitled "SOUNDS OF THE CIRCUS"(for those of you who have graphical browsers, you can click on the little album cover and get a bigger image with titles).
